报告摘要:This presentation describes a study of the dispersion of Carbon Dioxide released into the atmosphere following two full-scale burst tests. These tests were carried out at Spadeadam, UK, in September 2017 and March 2018 respectively, as part of the CO2SafeArrest JIP (Joint Industry Project). Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations were set up and run to predict the CO2 dispersion patterns. The results of the simulations were validated against field measurements carried out on site. The studies provide a basis for the development of a ‘generalized’ model for estimating the consequences of an accidental release of CO2 into the atmosphere.

主讲人简介:Dr. Ajit Godbole 高级研究员,Dr. Ajit Godbole is a Senior Researcher Fellow at the University of Wollongong, Australia. He has more than 35 years of university-level research experience. In last ten years his research has been focused on computational fluid dynamics and gas pipeline dispersion modelling. Dr. Godbole has led more than 10 pipeline-related research projects for the Energy Pipeline Cooperative Research Centre and Future Fuel Cooperative Research Centre, Australia. He was in charge of the dispersion testing and modelling of two CO2 full scale pipeline fracture propagation tests.
